Quality measures: measuring patient safety indicators across the Medicare, Medicaid, and commercially insured populations
In compliance with the requirements of holding an active CMS Qualified Entity (QE) status and furthering our mission to power better care and therapies, Clarify Health Solutions® has published our annual report on national quality measures. This year, we have chosen to report on patient safety measures using a combined Medicare FFS, Commercial, and Managed Medicaid data set. This report evaluates hospitals based on the incidence of ten common adverse safety events which make up the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) PSI 90 composite score over the year 2021. In it, we compare how these risk-adjusted patient safety scores vary across hospitals, payer sources, geographies, and patient groups.
