Todd Gottula, CEO and Co-Founder

Todd Gottula
Co-founder & CEO

Todd Gottula is the co-founder and CEO of Clarify Health. He founded the company in 2015 and has architected every product Clarify has shipped, including Clarify Meridian, the first outcomes service built to help health systems deliver better care while capturing the value lost to suboptimal referral decisions.

Clarify's work begins with a single observation. Referral decisions influence roughly $2 trillion of US healthcare spending each year, and 20% to 30% of those decisions are suboptimal. The cost shows up everywhere: in delayed access for patients, in quality variation across providers, in clinical outcomes that fall short of what was possible, and in avoidable spending the system can no longer absorb. The right referral, made the right way, advances all four at once. Meridian is how Clarify partners with health systems to make those decisions better, at scale, sharing risk on the outcomes that matter most to the patients they serve and the systems that serve them.

“I fundamentally believe that through the deployment of technology and expertise we can make lives of patients and those that care for them truly better. “

Under Todd's technical leadership, Clarify has assembled one of the largest longitudinal patient datasets in healthcare, with claims and outcomes data spanning more than 300 million lives. Todd holds 14 patents in healthcare data engineering, focused on the automation of data cleaning, identity resolution, and clinical inference at scale.

Before Clarify, Todd spent more than a decade at Advent Software, where he served as executive vice president and chief technology officer. He led Advent through its $2.7 billion acquisition by SS&C Technologies in 2015. Todd holds a BS in chemical engineering from the California Institute of Technology.
